Activities

 The project aims to impact children holistically in the following areas:

Educational Development

  • To help the child go through the best formal education possible, depending on available resources so that they get trained in a skill.

Physical Development

  • To ensure that the child is healthy and learns to avoid situations that causes sickness or injury. The project also teaches community health. We greatly emphasize the fight against AIDS and help children cope with the pain of loosing their guardians through AIDS.

Skills Training

  • To equip vulnerable children with practical and marketable skills that will enhance their livelihood thus promoting self-reliance.
  • The children are taught livelihood skills at the project which can be used to generate income for the child and the family.

Spiritual development

  • To train a child in the knowledge and fear of the LORD so that inner spiritual and moral transformation may lead to better decision making, a better life, and the ability to positively impact his or her community.

Social/Emotional Development

  • To help the child appreciate and learn the gift of living, being and sharing with others in all aspects harmoniously and to develop in the child’s leadership skills.

Parent/ Caregiver training and support Parental training

  • Parents are involved through project/partner planning; involvement in child development activities that strengthens parental skills.
  • The program aims to continue to promote positive parenting through seminars and counseling sessions. and to improve the lives of the HIV infected and affected families through sensitization, counseling and family support.

Advocacy

  • To raise awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within our influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children. i.e. The students and graduates. To challenge, encourage and equip the body of Christ to minister to children, to protect them from abuse and neglect, and to provide safe nurturing environment where they can flourish.
